HCT Rates

Please note that Rates for Courses are per person, and are subject to minimum numbers attending each Course. To see what is covered by our training at each level, please see our PDF of the National Standards Syllabus.

Schools Rates

The following courses are held during the school day, at lunchtimes or after school

Cycling Awareness Days can be organised for up to three classes and maximum 90 bikes:

  • 1 Instructor + Volunteers - £350 per Day (subsidised rate in Haddenham - £200)
  • 2 Instructors + Volunteers - £450 per Day
  • 3 Instructors - £550 per Day

The cost of these events decreases if you are able to provide additional Volunteers who can assist with administration and training (instruction will be given). If you are a very small school, we may be able to offer you a lower rate. We can also offer Half Days. Please contact us for details.

Biking Basics Course £15 per person for 3 hours

Bikeability Level 1 Course £20 per person for 2-3 hours

Bikeability Level 1+ Course £25 per person for 3-4 hours plus cycle ride

Bikeability Level 2 Course £15 per person with subsidy (£55 without) for 6 hours

Subsidy: Buckinghamshire schools can apply to Cycle Aylesbury for funding towards Level 2 Training for Year 5 upwards. The current subsidy is £40 per child, which means parents/schools pay £15 per child. Bikeability Level 3 Course £55 for 6 hours

Non-school Rates

The following courses are held at weekends, in the evenings and during school holidays

Biking Basics Course £20 for 3 hours

Bikeability Level 1 Course £25 for 3 hours

Family Cycle Training half days (3 hours) £5 per child and £10 per adult

Bikeability Level 2 Course £35 for 7 hours

Bikeability Level 3 Course £60 for 6 hours

Private Lessons

Individuals at any Level - £25 per hour (there may be a travel fee, please ask)

Groups can be catered for - Please ask for details.

Scooter Training

We organise 1 hour sessions of scooter training at the rate of £30 per class, for up to 30 children and with the help of two additional adult volunteers (staff or parents). The minimum booking is for 2 classes (ie £60).

We can also organise scooter training sessions for scouting and guiding units and other groups. Our minimum booking is normally 2 hours (£60), but if you are a very small group, we can offer a 1 hour session for £40, including our travel costs.
